CARING FOR SCOTLAND'S SICK, INJURED AND ORPHANED WILDLIFE

13th September 2013

September is always a good month for releases. This week 12 young foxes have been released at various locations, 6 tufted ducks were released on our quarry pond, and 3 young tawny owls have been given a soft release from one of our aviaries. In addition, a jay has moved to a release pen near Aberfeldy, where it will find more company than it would here. Two tawny owls will also be released from an aviary nearby. Ten hedgehogs have been taken to new areas, 8 of them in Perthshire and 2 in South Ayrshire. Another small batch of this year’s young gulls were released, leaving only a handful.DSC_8286 - CopyDSC_8283 - CopyDSC_8255 - Copy - Copy
