CARING FOR SCOTLAND'S SICK, INJURED AND ORPHANED WILDLIFE

November 29th 2013

Earlier this week we had a call from a lady in Embo, Sutherland. She was caring for a little hedgehog, but was concerned that he would only eat digestive biscuits. Although the hedgehog was active, he was small, and the lady had limited time for the orphan, and she herself was attending hospital for treatment. A plea on our facebook for help to transport this little casualty to Hessilhead resulted in a huge response from caring people. There were lots of offers to help; it was heart warming, and quite unexpected. An hour Embo arrived here. He weighs just more than 300gm, so needs plenty of tlc and a place to spend the winter. DSC_8492 - Copy
